Just a simple corner for quiet comptemplation in the church of St. Peter and St. Paul at Kedington in Suffolk
St. Edmund’s Church, Southwold, Suffolk, England HDR using Photomatix and Photoshop Canon 300D with 10-22mm lens at 10mm ISO800 – f8 – 6 exposures at base of 0.5 secs with two stops either side Almost didn’t go into St. Edmund’s Church in Southwold as it wasn’t featured in my book of ‘Best Churches’ but we went to Southwold to photograph the pier so popped into the church. Glad we di as it’s a delightful little church with some lovely colouring.
St. Peter, Walpole, Norfolk, England There is something special about St Peter's church in Walpole St. Peter that is hard to define. It is open, airy and feels old (it was built in 1330) but that can be said of many an English church. Some historians have called it England's finest church but I wouldn't go that far but it is the one church on my photographic tour that somehow stood out. I wanted to do something different here and spotted this bible open exactly as you see it. The enlargement doesn't go big enough but in the original you can read every word!
