Found these lovely rock formations at the far end of the beautiful Traigh Mhor beach on the east coast of Lewis and just knew I could do something HDR wise. A little bit of processing later and here is the result.
The Braighe (rhymes with high) is a narrow neck of land which joins the Eye Peninsula, otherwise known as Point, to the rest of Lewis. There are beaches on both sides and, since it is only a mile from home, I have vowed many times to pop down and try a shot or two. A couple of days ago after being lazy for far too long I finally made it just before the sun disappeared. The beach on this side faces south and as the sun was setting over the land to the north west I had little time. This was the shot from that evening, five minutes later the sun was gone.
Just one of many lochs on the Isle of Lewis that are covered with water lilies in the summer months.
