The well known seaside village of Staithes is most often shot as a wide panoramic view of the village alongside the beck and the sea but there is some splendid detail to be found in the village houses. Aside from the beautiful red pantiles, which look more Mediterranean than Northern England, take a look at all the different brickwork and all the little architectural details.
Yorkshire pantiles are pretty unique to ... well, Yorkshire! Several of the villages along the coast are adorned with these roofs, this one happens to be Staithes.
