At Mystic Seaport in Connecticut
This shot of the Northern Lights always makes me think of some kind of alien invasion! This was shot from the front door of my house on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides off the coast of Scotland. The lights from the house illuminate the garden and the orange glow is from the next village. We often see the Northern Lights up here but it is seldom as spectacular as this. What made this particular evening unusual is that the view is to the east and not to the north where the lights would normally appear.
